This woman owned business was started in 2009 by Natasha Case and Freya Estreller. After these millennial LGBTQ+ ladies sought representation they couldn’t seem to find, they took it upon themselves to introduce a brand that they felt catered to a more diverse audience. Their success story serves to inspire entrepreneurs everywhere, and their delicious ice cream inspires a sugar rush! Customers rave about the daring flavors and custom-made ice cream sandwiches. The shop also offers dairy free options. Try one of the fan favorites such as Chocolate Molten Cake and Street Cart Churro Dough!

For over 100 years, (!!) Fosselman’s has satisfied the cravings of sweet tooths with their quality ice cream and incredible flavors. If you are looking to indulge in some old-fashioned ice cream while supporting a long-standing local business, consider stopping by Fosselman’s. The shop offers 48 flavors to choose from, including both the timeless classics and seasonal flavors that are always changing. If you’re a fan of all things vintage, stop by this authentic 1940s soda fountain and candy shop and treat yourself to something sweet!

This local gelato shop, opened in 2014, is another woman owned business. In 2020, Gelateria Uli was voted as the top ice cream in an online poll hosted by Los Angeles Magazine. The business offers a variety of creative flavors and includes several vegan options. Enjoy classics like dark chocolate sorbet, indulge in seasonal flavors like blueberry or peach, or try a unique LA-inspired flavor like coconut lemongrass, black sesame, and others on rotation. Ali Kashani-Rafye first introduced southern California to genuine Persian-style ice cream in the 1970s.
